I still can't figure out how to use the plugin. the only thing I have under the InTools menu is "InTool Dashboard." And I'm not seeing anythig in the context menu. I just want to have a certain master page correspond to a certain paragraph style. How can I do this?

Sorry for the delayed response. There's no panel for AutoFlow Pro. All the options are acdessible via menus (under InTools) and context menus.

I think I figured out the problem though: In Autoflow Pro preferences I changed flow type from spread to pages. Then it worked like I wanted (only changing the single master page for the right page).

 

I wasn't changing that setting previously because I read in the Autoflow manual that master styles ignored the setting. So that may need to be updated in the documentation.

Your recto frames should be threaded to your verso frames on the master page.

I have a multi chapter book all in one story. I have a default master spread link for a chapter interior page and a single link set to a chapter start master spread. I only have one master thread set for all text frames.

 

When I set the chapter start paragraph style to only start on odd pages, autoflow pro inserted the chapter first spread but then all text only flowed on odd pages.

 

Should chapter first master only be a single page?

 

What is the right way to do this?

Thanks for reporting that error message. We'll fix that...

 

AutoFlow Pro does not have any "dodging" logic to make sure text frames don't collide. Each one expands independently, and that can cause ovelap. Data merge is not generally such a good use case for AF Pro unless it can be structured so that frames don't overlap.
