To type in Arabic, you need an Arabic keyboard installed into your system.

For the right-to-left features in InDesign to work, you need to use the World Ready Composer. You can select "Enable World Ready Composition" to switch to the World Ready Composer in your whole document.

I've downloaded and installed the WorldTools Pro plugin for InDesign CC 2014 x64, and I can see all the dialogs and menu items that are now present in InDesign, but I have no idea how to use them. I need to typeset in Arabic (right to left) and willl have a native speaker assisting me, but I need to have some idea how to make this work before sitting down with her.

How do I begin typing in Arabic? I see Arabic fonts on my system, but when I create a paragraph frame and begin typing in it, it's left-to-right, Roman characters, no matter what I have selected in the World Tools ME dialog. I'm clueless as to how to actually get Arabic, right-to-left working and how to type in Arabic using my standard QWERTY keyboard. I'm sure I sound extremely stupid, but so be it. Is there any help file that contains guidance on getting started for someone like me? Is there a keyboard overlay plugin or something that will allow me to type in Arabic?

I'm on the 20-day trial as of this morning, and I want to make sure I can actually use this before purchasing. Can anyone help the stupid guy get going here?

Grateful for any help.

Steve
