I'm not sure how well InDesign CS6 works with Windows 8. Have you installed all updates?

I don't know of anything in our products which should specifically cause problems on Windows 8 more than vanilla InDesign. If you could get a crash log, or a process stack, it might help determine what caused the crash/freeze.

Does this suite work with Windows 8?
