I am on Windows 7 and want to unistall my trial version. I have uninstalled via Windows and removed all files marked in tools but I can't get rid of the menu item in Indesign 6 called 'intools main memory key'. Could you advise how to get rid of this menu item?

The uninstaller should remove all files, but it sounds like you have one or more extension which uses the InTools menu. The extension is located in Program Files\Common Files\Adobe\CS[X]ServiceMananger\extensions. If you are using CC or CC 2014, it will be inside a subfolder called CEP or similar instead of the CS[X]ServiceManager folder.
