First Apache Flex Version Released

The awesome Flex community has been working very hard on getting out the first parity release of Apache Flex. This is a very exciting time for Flex development because it’s truly being driven by an awesome community for the first time!

I believe we’re going to see some incredible innovation in the Flex framework in the coming year. If you do development in Flex (or want to), make sure to join the Apache Flex mailing lists.

Besides donating Flex to Apache, Adobe is working on donating the Falcon and Falcon JS compilers as well. Once these donations are complete, Flex could very well become the best development environment for HTML5 besides Flash and AIR. Exciting times!
